Healthy Start - during lockdown we know that many financial situations have changed. The Healthy Start scheme may be able to help. If on certain benefits, families, including pregnant women and children under 4 can get free milk, fruit and vegetables and vitamins with Healthy Start vouchers. They can apply on line at the following website https://www.healthystart.nhs.uk/ . A change in the law means the form no longer needs to be signed by a health professional which should make the application process easier. One approved they will receive the vouchers through the post which can be exchanged a supermarkets and small retailers.

Craft Packs
Mon 27 Apr 202027th April 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
We know that its' difficult for some children to access the internet. Therefore, we have put together a craft pack for every child in school. Each pack contains:
- An activity booklet
- 2 books to write in
- Science Activities (KS2 Only)
- Colouring pencils
- Scissors
- Sticky tape
- Glue stick
........and best of all a chocolate creme egg!
Please come to school as soon as possible to collect the packs for your child/children.
Hopefully you will be able to do activities such as writing a diary; what things have you been getting up to while you're at home? Have you been baking or cooking? How did you do it? Maybe you can write some instructions?
Maybe you could make a picture? Or make a finger puppet?
Please remember to supervise your children when using scissors!
We hope you enjoy using the packs.
Please continue to stay safe at home!

Home Learning
Mon 27 Apr 202027th April 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
We are getting some great feedback from parents about the different activities you and your children are doing to keep busy.
Here are a few top tips:
We keep getting asked 'Home learning - am I doing it right?'
Here are suggestions that teachers have put on our Home Learning page for each phase
Foundation, Nursery, Elderberry and Holly class
Key Stage 1 Beech, Cedar and Willow
Lower Key Stage 2 - Maple, Hazel and Elm
Upper Key Stage 2 - Oak, Ash and Sycamore
There's no right or wrong way. You are not supposed to be able to teach in the same way that a school teacher would. This isn't the expectation. We just want you to be able to help you to keep your children busy!
The best thing you can do is a little bit each day:
- A little bit of reading - their own reading book or look at the resources on Home Learning.
- A little bit of writing - write a diary each day of what you have been doing or look at the resources on Home Learning.
- A little bit of maths - practice basic maths skills, counting, adding or look on the resources in Home Learning
- A little bit of physical activity - keeping active is important, make up your own exercise routine!
It's time to get creative! Try baking some buns, or ask your children to help tidy cupboards or drawers with you, or draw some colourful pictures for your neighbours.
But please don't let yourself or your children get stressed about whether you are doing enough or whether you're 'doing it right'.
The most important thing is that you stay at home, and stay safe, and remember, there are staff in school, if you want to ask any questions please contact school between 8am and 3pm.
Your child's class teacher will contact you weekly to see how you are, and answer any questions you may have.
Kind regards

Free School Meals - Hamper Collection
Mon 06 Apr 20206th April
Dear Parents/Carers
Free School Meal Provision - Hamper Collections
We notified all families who are entitled to Free School Meals that from Monday 6th April (today) there would be a food hamper to collect from school. In conjunction with Leeds City Council Catering Agency, Ingram Road have opted to provide weekly ‘food hampers’ instead of the daily packed lunches we have been providing in the last couple of weeks.
The 'hampers' will be one per FSM pupil (so a family with 3 children will get 3 packs) and will contain a loaf of bread, 3 lots of cheese, 2 tins of tuna, 1 packet of biscuits, 1 carton of apple juice, 5 pieces of fruit, 5 small bags of crisps, 5 yoghurts & a tub of margarine. The parent will then be able to make the lunch at home.
The hampers are ready for collection between 12.30 and 2.30pm today and again next Tuesday (14th April) due to the bank holiday. (School will be closed to everyone on Friday 10th and Monday 13th April - due to the Easter bank holidays).
Please note; Free School meals are not to be confused with the free meals the government provide to all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
If your circumstances have recently changed, you may be eligible to claim free school meals for your child, please visit our website for more information.
