Welcome Intro:

Welcome to our class page. In Beech class, we are happy, confident learners. We are kind to each other and we always try our best.

Beech Class Weekly Timetable

PE

In Beech Class, we have PE every Tuesday. We like to be outside as much as possible so please make sure that your child has indoor and outdoor PE kit in school. They should have black shorts, a white t-shirt, trainers or pumps, a jacket/hoody and tracksuit bottoms/leggings.

Homework

Homework will be sent home every Friday. Your child will have maths and English homework and a set of spellings to learn each week. The tasks set will have been taught during the week to enable your child to complete their homework by themselves. The spellings should be practised daily so that your child learns them ready for their spelling test every Wednesday. All homework and spelling books need to be back in school the following Tuesday.

Phonics

A phonics pack will be sent home every Friday so you can keep up to date with your child’s learning. The pack MUST come back to school every Monday for the children to use in school.

Reading

Every Friday, your child will have 3 reading books to take home. Two of the books will have blue labels - please read these with your child each day and sign their reading journal. Reading is a very important part of the curriculum and children need to have lots of opportunities to read so that they become confident readers and writers. Your child should be able to read the 3^rd book independently.

Music

Our music curriculum is taught by Ms Truscott in school every Tuesday.

Project

Each of our topics focuses on a specific area of the curriculum.
