Ingram Road School Council visit The Houses of Parliament
Our KS2 School Councillors are very excited to be visiting the Houses of Parliament !
After a very early start this morning, the 12 KS2 Councillors – Ibraheem & Elsy [Sycamore], Lloyd & Mabana [Oak], Faith & Leticia [Ash], Jaiyeola & Nandika [Maple], Gift & Paytee [Hazel], Zaina & Mikel[Elm], accompanied by Miss Leeming, Mr Bonynge and Miss Thompson headed to Leeds train station to board the 08.15am train to London King’s Cross.
On the way to the Houses of Parliament, everyone passed Buckingham Palace.
We were excited to arrive at the Houses of Parliament.
Then we were taken on a tour. We started our tour in Westminster Hall.
We then took part in a workshop.
Here we all are on the embankment next to the River Thames. You can see the Houses of Parliament on the other side of the river behind us.
We all enjoyed our well-deserved tea at McDonalds !
