All about your teachers

Miss Jeffery - Elderberry Class Teacher. 

Hi, my name is Miss Jeffery and I am really enjoying working in Reception this year. I have been at Ingram Road for a little while now, teaching in Reception and Nursery. Lots of you may know that I have a dog named Rolo and at the weekend we go on long walks. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy baking in the kitchen yummy cakes and biscuits. My favourite colour is purple and my favourite animal would be a giraffe. They are just so tall!

Ms Granger - Holly Class Teacher

Hi, My name is Ms Granger, I wanted to share a few things about myself. My favourite animal is a hedgehog and I love the colour red. Very recently I became Granny to my third grandson. When we are together we love to hike, shoot our bows and swim in lakes. To relax I watercolour paint, I enjoy sending homemade greeting cards to my family and friends. I'm no artist but I enjoy it. I also like to upcycle charity shop bargains, like making waterproof covers for my bicycle baskets from an old poncho. Running in the swimming pool keeps me fit, I also cycle and do yoga.

Hello, my name is Mrs McCormack. I have worked at Ingram Road for many years, most of them spent in Foundation. I have two children at home and an older stepson. My favourite colour is purple. I enjoy going on long walks and spending time with my family.

HLTA and Speech support - Mrs Gray

Hello my name is Mrs Gray. I have worked at Ingram Road for a long time and have a passion for encouraging talk and communication with our children. I have four children of my own, 2 girls and 2 boys, that I love spending time with. In my spare time I enjoy being creative by drawing, painting, and sewing,  as well as going on adventures with my family.  

Information for Parents

Welcome to Reception

Please find attached below all the information shared at the New Parent meeting which is held every July for the following September’s intake.

School uniform 

Our school uniform is a red jumper or cardigan, white polo top, black or grey trousers and black school shoes. 

When joining our school in Reception, every child will be given a water bottle and a book bag. These are given on their first full day in September.

P.E

Our school P.E uniform is black jogging bottoms, a white t-shirt and black pumps. We will update you for when PE lessons are taking place and your child needs their kit in school.

Home Reading Books

An adult will read with your child in school at least once a week. Their home reading books will be given out on a Monday and returned on a Friday.

Please read with your child at home for 10 minutes each day to help develop their decoding, fluency and comprehension skills. Please write a comment and sign in your child's reading record when you have read with them. If you need any help with how to support your child with reading at home please speak to member of staff in class.
