Public Health Update - Handwashing with soap and water is better than hand sanitiser
10th March 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
As we receive daily updates regarding Coronavirus in the UK in school we will continue to follow the guidelines for Education settings as set out by Public Health England.
The advice continues to be:
Make sure that you and your children frequently wash your hands with soap and water to stop Coronavirus spreading.
We will make sure in school that children are washing their hands with soap and warm water. This is better than hand santisers - which should NOT be brought into school - as the temptation is for children to 'share' this with their friends. There's also a risk that younger children may swallow the hand santiser.

To encourage your child to wash their hands properly here's a video promoted by the NHS
If you or your family have any symptoms and you are concerned please contact the NHS service 111. Do NOT go to your GP without seeking advice first.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
