Dear Parent/Carer

All schools across the county are closed. Unless you have been contacted (by text message) about your child attending school tomorrow you and your child should stay at home in order to slow down the spread of the virus.

Children arriving in school today should arrive and be collected from the front office to be registered in school (the playground gates will be CLOSED).

Breakfast club will be open at 8.15 as normal (to arrive no later than 8.30am) and you can collect your child at 3.15pm. There will be no 'activities' after 3.15.

There will be provision until 4.30 for those parents who require it for work purposes only.

• The overriding principle is that schools remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.
• The majority of children will be made safer if we stick to the principle above. All other children should remain at home, indoors with their parent/carer.
• School is open to pupils of key workers only where they would not be safe at home and the parents have no other option but for their child to be at school if they are to continue to do their jobs. This is not an entitlement.

We are following the guidelines of the Government. If you arrive at school with your child tomorrow without school contacting you, please don't be offended if as a 'key worker' you are asked for your work identification card to prove where you work. Our staff have been asked to follow procedure.
